2025 is an election year for Village Council. The current Council is completing the final year of their four-year term, which ends in the fall. To help shape Glenwood’s future, dedicated candidates with diverse skills and experiences are encouraged to run for office. If you’re interested in serving your community and making a difference, review the resources below and consider putting your name forward in the upcoming election.

Nominations for the general election open January 1, 2025, and close at noon on September 22, 2025. Prospective Candidates interested in running for Village of Glenwood Council may begin campaigning at the beginning of 2025. See the resources below for information.

Election Forms
Note: Resources are currently being updated to reflect recent changes to the Municipal Government Act and the Local Authorities Election Act.
Visit the Municipal Election Forms page on alberta.ca for a complete list of election forms used by municipal election workers and voters, as well as candidates running for office.
All candidates must complete the following forms and deliver to the Village office.
- Form 4 – Nomination Paper and Candidate’s Acceptance Form (download PDF)
- Form 5 – Candidate Financial Information Disclosure Form (download PDF)
- Form 26 – Campaign Disclosure Statement and Financial Statement (download PDF – Required for successful candidates only)
Forms 4 and 5 must be submitted at the Village Office by noon on September 22, 2025 (Nomination Day).
Form 26 must be completed by successful candidates who are elected to office by Mar 2, 2026.
