Drinking water
Glenwood’s raw water comes from two artesian wells that tap into an aquifer. The water treatment plant was built in 1984 and upgraded in 2004, and it is upgraded regularly to keep our drinking water excellent. Drinking water is currently managed by the Spring Glen Water Commission through Cardston County.
Water is tested on an ongoing basis to make sure it meets the most stringent Alberta Health Services guidelines.

Sewer
The Village operates two sewage lagoons southeast of Glenwood. Please keep wipes, sanitary products, paper towels and other items that don’t break down out of the sewer – they can’t be treated in the lagoons.
Irrigation water
Irrigation water is non-potable – it is for lawns and gardens only, not for drinking. The Village gets it from, and under agreement with, the United Irrigation District.
